Activating Multiview for NDI

Without a license key installed, Multiview for NDI operates in trial mode. In trial mode, the following limitations are in place.

  • Any features requiring the advanced SDK (HX output, KVM) will be disabled after 30 minutes.

  • Every 10 minutes, all outputs will display black for 15 seconds.

Activation only needs to be performed once.

Retrieve your license key

  1. Go to

  2. Type in the email address you used to order your copy of Multiview for NDI.

  3. Click Sign In

  1. You'll be emailed a magic link to log into your Lemon Squeezy orders dashboard. Once you receive that email, click the Sign in to Lemon Squeezy link.

  2. Click the Multiview for NDI product.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  4. Click the license key.

  1. Click the Copy button next to the license key.

Activate Multiview for NDI using the web UI - Online

  1. Launch the web UI by going to http://localhost:8901.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. In the Online Activation section, enter your license key.

  4. Click Activate.

If activation was successful, you'll see a message that says "Instance Activated."

For online activation, only the computer accessing the web UI needs to be connected to the internet for online activation to work. The computer running Multiview for NDI does not require an internet connection.

Activate Multiview for NDI using the web UI - Offline

You will need a PC that can connect to the internet to retrieve the offline activation info.

  1. Enter your license key into the form.

  2. Click Get License.

  3. In the text area under the license key field, copy the offline activation key it provides you.

  2. Launch the web UI by going to http://localhost:8901.

  3. Click the Settings tab.

  4. In the Offline Activation section, paste the details from step 4 into the text area labelled License Details.

  5. Click Activate.

Activate Multiview for NDI using license.json - Offline

On startup, Multiview for NDI searches the configuration file directory (documented in Configuration File Locations) for a file called license.json. This file contains the signed offline activation details for your multiview instance.

You will need to close Multiview for NDI in order to activate using this method.

  1. Enter your license key into the form.

  2. Click Get License.

  3. In the text area under the license key field, copy the offline activation key it provides you.

  4. Paste the activation key into a file called license.json.

  5. Copy this file into your data file directory.

    1. Windows: C:\users\{userName}\AppData\Roaming\Tractus.Multiview

    2. Linux: /home/{userName}/.config/Tractus.Multiview
